Although we in Queensland do not have daylight savings, its ending in other cities will affect our airline schedules.
DAYLIGHT SAVINGS FLIGHT SCHEDULE CHANGES
On Sunday 3 April, daylight savings concluded for the participating Australian states ACT, Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales and South Australia.
This means that local time in these states went back one hour, e.g. from 3am to 2am on Sunday morning. As a result there may be changes to flight departure and arrival times for Airline Freight services, which in turn may alter your lodgement times.
Generally speaking, exporters in Brisbane will now have an extra hour to get their cargo away, however that is not a given. The national carrier Qantas recommends checking their flight schedules at: http://www.qantas.com.au/qfreight/qfe/flight-schedules/global/en -
to ensure you have the correct timetable to meet the requirements of your preferred flight.
As always, do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions regarding air exports on international airlines.
